Ristozi FC Unveils 2025 NPSL Coaching Staff
As Ristozi FC prepares for its highly anticipated debut season in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the club is proud to announce the coaching staff that will guide the team into this exciting new chapter.
Dylan Shepherd – Head Coach
At just 19 years old, Dylan Shepherd is making history as the youngest head coach in the NPSL. Since taking charge in 2023, he has led Ristozi FC to major accomplishments including the 2024 & 2025 MDV Cup and the Spring 2024 MSSL Championship. His leadership, tactical knowledge, and ability to develop players have been essential to the club’s success and continued growth.
Ryan Fisher – Assistant Coach
Ryan Fisher has been a key member of Ristozi FC since early 2024, serving as Shepherd’s top assistant. A former player for the 2020 NCAA National Champions, Marshall University, Ryan brings valuable experience and insight to the staff. His understanding of top-level competition and dedication to player development make him an important part of Ristozi FC’s journey in the NPSL.
Riku Kawano – Assistant Coach
Originally from Tokushima, Japan, Riku Kawano adds international experience and technical depth to Ristozi FC’s coaching team. From 2021 to 2023, he played for the CCBC Essex Knights, starting in every match and helping lead the team to the 2020–21 NJCAA Division II National Championship Final. Most recently, he served as head coach for Club Deportivo Laurel in the UPSL. His experience as both a player and coach makes him a strong addition to Ristozi FC’s staff.
Caeden Fong – Goalkeeping Coach
Caeden Fong brings extensive goalkeeping experience to the club. A former three-year member of the William & Mary Men’s Soccer team, he has transitioned into coaching, serving as the Goalkeeper Coach for Coppermine United in 2024. He is also the Assistant Goalkeeper Coach for William & Mary’s Division I Women’s Soccer program. His background at the collegiate and club levels makes him a vital part of Ristozi FC’s preparations for the NPSL season.
Co-Founder and General Manager Francis Shkurti shared his thoughts on the coaching staff:
